About the Practice

What makes Stellar Medical Aesthetics different?
Stellar Medical Aesthetics is intentionally designed as a concierge-style boutique practice. Unlike larger medical spas, you'll see the same provider, Marietta Kenyan, FNP-BC, at every visit, allowing us to build a relationship and thoughtfully monitor your progress over time. You'll have direct access to your provider, appointments are never rushed, and every treatment plan is developed specifically for your anatomy, goals, and stage of life.
Do you ever tell patients "no"?
Yes. Not every treatment is appropriate for every patient, and sometimes the best recommendation is to postpone treatment, modify the plan, or not treat at all. Our priority is always your safety and achieving results that are balanced, natural, and in your best long-term interest.
Will you recommend only the treatment I ask for?
Not necessarily. During your consultation, we'll discuss your concerns and evaluate your facial anatomy as a whole. Sometimes the treatment you request is exactly what's recommended — other times, an alternative (or no treatment at all) may be better suited to a natural, balanced result. Recommendations are always based on what's in your best interest, not on performing a requested procedure.
Will you try to sell me additional treatments?
No. Our goal is to educate you on your options and help you make informed decisions. There is never any obligation to proceed with treatment.
Do you guarantee results?
Every patient responds differently to treatment. While every effort is made to achieve beautiful, natural-looking outcomes, aesthetic medicine is not an exact science, and specific results cannot be guaranteed.

Visiting Us

Where are you located?
Stellar Medical Aesthetics is located at 1707 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 6, Lexington, MA, in the heart of Lexington Center, directly off Massachusetts Avenue.
Where should I park?
Metered parking is available immediately outside the office. Some meters accept coins, while others can be paid using the PayByPhone app. We recommend downloading the app before your appointment for added convenience.
Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely. Guests, family members, and children are welcome. Depending on the treatment being performed, there may be times when privacy or treatment requirements require guests to step out briefly. If you're bringing young children, we simply ask that they remain supervised throughout your visit.

Consultations & Appointments

Do I need a consultation?
Yes. All new patients begin with an initial consultation, during which we discuss your concerns, review your medical history, assess your anatomy, and develop a personalized treatment plan. Many treatments can be performed during the same appointment if appropriate.
Why is there a consultation fee when some practices offer complimentary consultations?
At Stellar Medical Aesthetics, your consultation is a true medical appointment — including a review of your medical history, a thorough assessment, informed consent when applicable, and a personalized treatment plan. The consultation fee is $100 and is applied toward any treatment or skincare purchased during your visit.
What if I don't know which treatment I need?
That's completely normal. You don't need to know exactly what you want before your appointment — we'll discuss your concerns, evaluate your anatomy, and recommend the treatment options best suited to your goals.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Please arrive with clean skin whenever possible and be prepared to discuss your medical history, medications, allergies, and aesthetic goals. Avoiding certain blood-thinning medications and supplements beforehand may help minimize bruising — specific recommendations will be reviewed before your appointment.
How far in advance should I schedule treatment before an important event?
If you have a wedding, vacation, professional photos, or another important event, please mention it when scheduling. Depending on the treatment, allowing several weeks beforehand is often recommended to ensure any swelling or bruising has fully resolved.
How often should I come in?
There isn't a standard schedule. Some patients visit every few months for maintenance, while others come in only occasionally. Your treatment plan will be individualized based on your goals, lifestyle, and budget.
What if I decide not to proceed with treatment?
That's completely okay. A consultation is an opportunity to ask questions and learn about your options — there is never any pressure to move forward.

Pricing & Payment

How much do your services cost?
Pricing is transparent and available on our Pricing page. If you're unsure which treatment is right for you, we'll discuss your options during your consultation.
Can you tell me how much Botox I will need or what it will cost?
Botox treatment is highly individualized — the number of units needed depends on your facial anatomy, muscle strength, treatment goals, and treatment history. Accurate quotes can't be provided over the phone or by email; we'll assess your anatomy and create a personalized plan during your consultation.
Can I split a syringe of filler with a friend?
No. Dermal filler treatment is priced according to the expertise, treatment planning, and result being achieved — not by dividing a syringe into portions. It's also a prescription medical product documented and used for a single patient, and cannot be shared for safety and regulatory reasons.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and cash.

Wrinkle Relaxers (Botox, Dysport & Jeuveau)

Will Botox make me look frozen?
Not unless that's the look you're hoping to achieve. Every wrinkle relaxer treatment is tailored to your individual anatomy and aesthetic goals, whether you prefer complete smoothing or a softer result with some expression preserved.
If I stop getting Botox, will I age faster?
No. Botox does not make you age faster if you stop treatment. As the medication wears off, muscle movement gradually returns, and your wrinkles simply return to their natural baseline over time.
What is the best age to start Botox?
There isn't one "right" age. Some patients begin preventatively in their late twenties or early thirties, while others don't start until much later — treatment recommendations are always individualized.
How long do Botox results last?
Most patients enjoy results for approximately 3–4 months, although longevity varies based on metabolism, muscle strength, treatment area, and individual response.

Dermal Filler & Biostimulators

How long do dermal fillers last?
Filler longevity depends on the product used, the treatment area, and your body's natural metabolism. We'll discuss what you can realistically expect based on your treatment plan during your consultation.
Can Botox or filler be reversed?
Botox gradually wears off over time and cannot be reversed. Hyaluronic acid fillers, however, can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if medically indicated or if a patient chooses to have the filler removed.
What if I don't want filler?
That's completely okay. Not every concern requires filler — depending on your goals, we may discuss neuromodulators, biostimulatory treatments like Sculptra, skincare, microneedling, chemical peels, or simply decide no treatment is necessary.
What if I've had Botox or filler somewhere else?
That's perfectly okay. We'll discuss your previous treatments during your consultation and develop a plan based on your current anatomy, goals, and treatment history.

Treatment Experience & Aftercare

Will I bruise or have downtime?
Every treatment is different, and this will be discussed during your consultation. While many patients return to normal activities immediately, every treatment carries the possibility of bruising or swelling. Let us know about any upcoming events so we can help you plan accordingly.
Can I exercise after my treatment?
Aftercare recommendations vary depending on the treatment you receive. You'll receive personalized post-treatment instructions before leaving your appointment.
Why do you sometimes recommend waiting?
Sometimes the best treatment is no treatment — for now. Whether it's allowing previous treatment to settle, improving skin quality first, or simply waiting until the timing is right, thoughtful aesthetic medicine often means knowing when not to intervene.

Policies & Eligibility

Do you treat men?
Absolutely. Many men seek aesthetic treatments to look refreshed while maintaining natural, masculine features. Every treatment plan is customized to the individual's anatomy and goals.
Do I have to be a certain age to become a patient?
Patients must be at least 18 years old for most aesthetic treatments. Certain procedures may have additional age requirements, which we'll discuss during your consultation.
Can I receive cosmetic treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding?
For aesthetic purposes, cosmetic injectable treatments are deferred until you are no longer pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do you sell skincare, and do I have to buy it?
Yes, we offer medical-grade skincare that can enhance and maintain your results. However, there is never any obligation to purchase — recommendations are always based on what will best support your individual results.
